Position Summary: This position is designed to oversee and advance Torrey Academy, a Christian great books program for homeschool youth. Torrey Academy partners with the Torrey Honors Institute and Biola Youth Academics to provide quality classical education that prepares students for future educational opportunities. The Director is responsible for hiring, facilitating training, leading, and evaluating all Torrey Academy staff. The Director is expected to engage in entrepreneurial management with the following expected duties: solidify mutual partnership with Torrey Honors Institute, increase and maximize operational and fundraising budgets, increase student enrollment, appraise new opportunities for program growth, evaluate methods for improved program content and quality, and cast the vision for program marketing.

The candidate's ability to articulate this faith and practice mix, preferably with experience in teaching it, will be paramount to their successful candidacy for the position.

Hiring Range: $4,122.00 - 4,773.00 per month
• Master's Degree required, preferred disciplines: education, history, philosophy, and theology • Graduate from Torrey Honors Institute or other classical program preferred. • Demonstrated experience in administrative responsibilities such as budget oversight, personnel management, and customer service • Demonstrated experience in academic program development, K-12 context preferred • Demonstrated experience with classical Christian pedagogy • Demonstrated experience in entrepreneurial leadership and development • Experience managing projects in an educational context with various constituencies • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills • Holds personal theological beliefs that are in agreement with the Biola Doctrinal Statement, and maintain a lifestyle in consonance with the Christian principles of Biola University
