The Associate Director of Alumni Relations Meyers College of Nursing will design and lead a comprehensive engagement strategy for nearly 11,000 Meyers alumni throughout the United States. The Associate Director will strategically advance alumni programs with the goals of increasing alumni engagement, providing tangible benefits to alumni, and developing support for current students. Working closely with the University’s AR staff, the Meyers Director of Development, the Dean, and the Meyers Communications team, the Associate Director will advance Meyers’ goals by managing the core alumni relations portfolio, including outreach and stewardship of all alumni, donors, and friends; and overseeing the execution of special events. Reporting directly to the University’s Associate Vice President for Alumni Relations, The Associate Director will work in conjunction with University goals, priorities and strategies to integrate a program for nursing alumni into the broader University-wide Alumni Relations initiatives. She/he will increase communications with alumni by collaborating with the Communications teams of Myers and UDAR to develop content and enhance alumni engagement, and effectively market programs and services to alumni. The Associate Director will work to guide and develop the Meyers Alumni Association Board of Directors. She/he will supervise one full-time staff, and manage the budget.
Required Education: Bachelor's degree.
Preferred Education: Master's degree
Required Experience: 4-5 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in alumni relations.
Preferred Experience: Experience in an academic, non-profit and/or development environment.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Strong writing, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills, as well as fund raising experience.
