Develop and oversee the Department of Nutrition and Food Studies' teaching laboratory facility, equipment and laboratory. Plan and execute special events and programs; oversee budgets and kitchen staff.
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition, Food Studies or related field and all necessary food safety certifications
Preferred Education: Master's degree in nutrition, food studies or food-related fields. NYC Food Handler License.
Required Experience: Three years' professional experience with food/food handling or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must include experience supervising staff and operations, planning and implementing activities and events, and overseeing budgets.
Preferred Experience: Experience with commercial kitchen management
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Excellent organizational, interpersonal skills. Ability to develop, implement and communicate policies and procedures. Ability to instruct kitchen/food health courses. Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and database applications
