RMD provides loan and real estate investment services and asset management to investments where Goldman Sachs has an interest, serving as a partner to other divisions across the firm, including Merchant Banking, Securities and Investment Management. The Realty Management Division has offices in the Americas, Europe and Asia.
The Madrid office of the Realty Management Division of Goldman Sachs is seeking an Executive Director to support the Loan Businesses. The successful candidate will be focused on the performance of distressed and performing loan investments, asset management strategies, and loan pools coupled with residential and granular positions and other initiatives in the area as required. The position will sit in the Madrid office within the Realty Management Division.
HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
Responsible for servicer identification, relationship management and interaction.
Responsible for portfolio migration oversight and Loan asset management
Develop and implement the strategic and tactical plan necessary to monetize the portfolio to meet or exceed investment objectives
Develop and maintain a strategic view, oversee the execution, and evaluate the performance of bus objectives
Support investing desks with the build out and management of origination/ lending platforms as needed.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Preferably 5+ years of experience involving commercial and residential developer loans and Loan workout
Understanding of the legal system in Spain, specifically a) the rights of Debtors vis a vis Creditors b) the tools available to secured lenders, c) the auction and workout processes d) be familiar with recent changes in restructuring and work out strategies
Should have a strong knowledge of the Mid Market sector in Spain and be experienced in negotiating settlement agreements
Strong academic background - bachelors/master's degree with a focus in business, math, or engineering preferred
Solid analytical/logical mind-set and attention to detail
Strong communication skills (clear, concise, and confident) with the ability to manage internal and external relationships
Inquisitive by nature with detail orientation and intellectual curiosity. Strong sense of accountability and dedication to continuous
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Prior technical or quasi-technical experience a plus
Able to work under tight time constraints and extended hours as required
Capable of building strong relationships with our Servicers/ Asset Managers
