Job Summary:On-site member of the Residence Hall Staff. Responsible for the administration, supervision, and student service in their respective resident hall.
Minimum Required Education:
Associate’s degree or a combination of education and experience that yields the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree
Minimum Required Experience:
Experience in student services, student life, and/or as a Residence Hall Manager
Ability to be detail-oriented.
Ability to communicate orally and in writing. Ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
Ability to de-escalate conflict as it arises.
Ability to operate a personal computer and other standard computing equipment. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Essential Job Functions:
Provides supervision for seventy five to one hundred and fifty resident students (male and/or female).
Develops and maintains a positive and respectful environment among residents, emphasizing consideration and concern for others’ well being and need for quiet after hours.
Maintains and enforces campus policies and procedures. Educates students regarding Hill College Residence Life policies and procedures and the Student Code of Conduct as outlined in the Student Handbook. Is proactive in offering educational seminars on topics of relevancy to residence life.
Assists in the opening and closing of residence halls including weekend openings. Assist with residence hall check/in and check/out procedures.
Maintains neatness and cleanliness in lobby, walkways, and stairways, notifying custodial and maintenance staff of areas in need of assistance.
Attends all residence hall meetings, Campus Safety meetings, and other Student Services meetings as required.
Submits citations/incident/damage reports to the Associate Dean of Students the next business morning.
Works cooperatively with the Hill College Campus Safety as needed. Familiar with alarm systems, evacuation routes, emergency procedures and the Emergency Operation Plan as items relate to the Hill College Residence Halls. Responsible for security items such as keys and alarms.
Provide the utmost health and safety measures to ensure safety of the students in the residence hall. Conducts monthly room checks as needed. Files Health and Safety Inspection Reports with the Office of Student Life as required.
Assist resident with questions, resources, mail and key management while ensuring confidentiality.
Provides supervision and direction to the Resident Advisor(s) assigned to the designated resident hall.
Performs other residence hall and student service-related activities as needed.
Works weekends and holidays on-call as needed.

Light work; exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. The use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of force greater than that for Sedentary Work.
