Ensures operating units are in compliance with regulatory requirements and local and state regulations. Works with operations management, provides direction and leadership to technical associates and teams on regulatory items within assigned state(s) and/or other assigned geographical areas.
Responsibilities 1. Conducts random branch visits to assure compliance with laws and regulatory requirements. Reviews files and records for timely reporting of inspections and notices of completion to the state(s') pest control board. 2. Takes appropriate action within the limits of authority to prevent and expeditiously resolve regulatory compliance issues 3. Assists as directed with company representation at state and district levels of related agencies such as Pest Control Board, Department of Pesticide Regulation, and County Agricultural Departments. 4. Processes checks for license and business renewals for assigned goegraphical area 5. Partners with management and specialists on regulatory issues and items within the branches and assures that these locations are in compliance 6. Keeps abreast of regulatory development and enforcement activities; informs Operations. 7. Notifies the responsible branch office of complaints and violations received from the Structural Pest Control Board, tracks the follow-up for each complaint and assists with the resolution of the complaint; maintains proper customer files for database; advises branch about deadline for fact-gathering 8. Works with state Regulatory Agencies as required 9. Maintains WDO report tracking to include: compiling the number of inspections and completions; tallying the final total required to pay to the state pest control board; reviewing the weekly activity reports to determine if branch offices are complying with rules and regulations pertaining to the timely filing of WDO reports and completion notices; tracking the percentage of inspections vs. completions throughout each state 10. Provides general regulatory and governmental affairs related business support as directed
Education and Experience Requirements * Bachelor degree or a combination of education and experience plus 5+ years of experience in related field, 1-2 years of management experience required * State specific required certifications and/or licenses
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * Oral and written communication skills * Time management skills * Proficient in Microsoft Office product (Word and Excel) * Ability to obtain and maintain valid driver's license
