Responsible for the efficient administration of trust accounts where the bank is acting as trustee, executor, guarian, agent or custodian. Provide expert trust advice and a high level of customer service to clients, attorneys, beneficiatries and accountants.
Administer trust, agency and estate accounts to retain and grow client relationships by developing a needs based analysis of each client’s goals.
Attend to all assigned accounts and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements as well as departments policies and procedures.
Provide advice to clients to meet objectives that are consistent with governing documents and serve the best interests of the beneficiaries.
Correspond with beneficiaries at least annually regarding investment performance and other relevant account matters.
Obtain consents and releases from customers and beneficiaries as needed.
Review tax returns with accountants and customers to provide explanations.
Help to maintain department policies and procedures in order to control risks in all aspects of account administration.
Work with internal and external auditors to ensure continued departmental regulatory compliance.
Monitor trust investments and make appropriate changes as suggested by Trust Advisors.
Discuss account investment objectives with investment advisors.
Assist with review and execution of land trust documents.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with attorneys and accountants as referral sources.
Meet with new and prospective customers to seek new trust and investment opportunities.
Contact and maintain favorable relationships with likely sources of community development information and directly promote the Bank's services where appropriate.
Make recommendations for estate and financial planning as needed.
Stay abreast of new trust regulatory materials, bank products and other relevant information in order to advise clients.
Attend trust related seminars and meetings.
During the review conversation with clients, obtain and update client risk tolerance and objectives to ensure funds have appropriate asset allocation with assistance from Senior Trust Officer
Oversee and ensure distributions are made in a timely manner.
Maintain responsible relationships with client and heirs to determine appropriate investment strategies.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
Professional certifications CFP, CTFA preferred
Five + years of relevant fiduciary or personal trust administration experience preferred
Knowledge of fiduciary services, estate planning and wealth transfer
