Utilizing a collaborative process, the Utilization Analyst (UA) will assess, plan, monitor and evaluate all pertinent clinical, psycho-social, and medical information and criteria (Interqual) to assist in determination of the initial and concurrent plan of care for all patients presenting to CMC for intervention. The UA will ensure the utilization of appropriate and timely intervention being the steward of resources for all populations.
Minimum Qualifications Required
Education: Graduate of professional school of nursing required; BSN required.
Experience: Minimum of three (3) years to five (5) years experience in clinical healthcare setting with direct patient care responsibilities reflecting planning, coordination, delivery of needed services such as education, discharge planning and utilization management required.
Licensure, certification, and/or registration: Current licensure in Virginia as Registered Nurse required; Case Management Certification preferred.
Other Minimum Qualifications: Strong oral and written communication skills as well as effective interpersonal skills. Must be effective at teaching individuals from all socio-economic and cultural backgrounds. Must have ability to work without close supervision and demonstrate effective organizational abilities.
