Information Technology Services at West Virginia University is seeking an Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition Developer Lead (Professional Technologist 4) to begin after July 1, 2017. This position will lead projects by eliciting general data needs from end users to develop effective strategies, solutions and designs. The OBIEE Developer will provide designs and recommend alternative solutions through critical analysis and expert knowledge of the application and supporting technology.

Utilize technical/application skills within functional/project area and with stakeholders to critically identify and communicate opportunities for broadened reporting capacity.
Effectively utilize technical/application analytical skills to analyze WVU's organizational needs and goals for the development and implementation in support of enterprise reporting needs.
Collaborate and interact with business users to elicit business requirements, translating those requirements into functional and technical specifications.
Lead the design and implementation of all the components of WVU's enterprise reporting infrastructure (Metadata, ETL, OBIEE RPD, Reports, and Dashboards).
Identify institutional weakness in reporting, data governance, and data standards, recommending alternatives and solutions to deliver continuous improvement in WVU's enterprise reporting and analytic capabilities.
Follow established methodology to complete project deliverables on all assigned tasks within established deadlines, including all required documentation such as design documentation, technical specifications and test plans.
Lead all assigned project resources (internal and external) to accomplish defined deliverables and objectives.
Understand and adhere to established project management policies and procedures, including meeting project work plans, status reports and documentation.
Work with ITS Project Managers to establish realistic and attainable project scope, structure, and work plans, and to identify and mitigate concerns, conflicts, and risks that could impede project implementation milestones.
Establish positive, professional relationship with staff, including proper communication channels with project and team personnel and responding appropriately to all concerns.
Work effectively with others to accomplish project deliverables by sharing knowledge and ideas.
