Full-Time Clinical Pharmacist

As a full time Clinical Pharmacist with Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS), you will carry out and assist in planning, organizing and performing clinical activities in hospital pharmacy settings, according to Hospital policies, standards of practice of the profession, State and Federal laws and corporate policies. The clinical pharmacist will participate in daily clinical activities including kinetics, nutrition support, and antibiotic stewardship activities. In addition to the daily clinical activities, the clinical pharmacist will be an active participant of the any of the following committees: Pharmacy and Therapeutics, Medication Safety, and Antibiotic Stewardship.You will also recommend innovations in the practice and function of the hospital pharmacy to pharmacy management. This position is full time, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, day shifts.
About the Facility: Lake Charles Memorial Hospital, with 391 acute care beds, is the main campus of the Memorial Health System, and is the region's largest family-centered medical complex, serving the healthcare needs of Southwest Louisiana. Services include the largest Emergency Room in the area, a new Intensive Care Unit, and a new medical office building that is underway.
Lake Charles Memorial Hospital for Women, with 38 beds, combines comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services geared toward women, including obstetrics, gynecology, neonatal intensive care, general surgery, incontinence treatment, breast health, menopause, and vein and vascular treatment. Additionally, the most advanced integrated diagnostics, including screening and digital mammography, laboratory testing, radiology, and ultrasound.
Memorial Health System consists Lake Charles Memorial Hospital, Memorial Hospital for Women, Memorial Specialty Hospital and Moss Memorial Health Clinic. The hospitals are fully licensed by Joint Commission. Management of the pharmacy is outsourced to Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS). All Pharmacy staff are CPS employees.
