The Role: Fiduciary Solutions (FS) provides Outsourced Chief Investment Officer (OCIO) services to institutional investors, primarily corporate defined benefit sponsors, ranging in size from $50 million to $1 billion in plan assets. OCIO services include asset allocation, manager selection, oversight/reporting and trust/custody. FS provides services in the United States (US).
Reporting to the Head of Fiduciary Solutions, the Business Development Specialist would be responsible for calling on Finance and Human Resources professionals within large entities for roughly half of the US. The individual in this role will serve as the sales contact for internal and external leads, generate sales leads through an active calling program and manage the entire sales process. The Business Development Specialist will also be responsible for assisting in the creation and maintenance of sales collateral materials, sales presentations, sales management reporting, database analysis and successful completion of RFPs. Once an opportunity is identified, the Business Development Specialist will be supported by FS asset allocation, manager research, portfolio management and trust/custody experts throughout the sales process.
The Business Development Specialist's goal is to be the prospects trusted advisor throughout the sales process, which will be earned by engaging, asking questions, listening, building goodwill and jointly building a custom OCIO solution with the prospect. He or she will be expected to, over time, acquire deep domain knowledge of our offering, target markets and competitors.
The individual in this role will be required to travel and possess strong oral/written communication skills and computer skills (including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite). A competitive base salary and benefits will be provided but it is expected that the majority of total compensation will be in the form of sales commissions which will be paid over a three year period after successful onboarding of new business.
