The Transportation and Parking department in the Division of Facilities and Services at West Virginia University is seeking applications for a Program Assistant II. This position is responsible for coordinating West Virginia University's transportation service operations related to bus services, fleet management, vehicle repairs and fuel.
In order to be successful in this position, the ideal candidate will:
Be responsible for the business service aspects of the Transportation Services department that include bus services, fleet management, and other operations on a daily basis.
Serve as the primary contact for WVU customers and as a Department contact with Executive Business officer.
Track, record and document all Transportation Services expenditures and ensure all TS services are invoiced, tracked and reconciled in compliance with WVU, WV state and Federal laws/policies.
Originate and follow to completion work orders on WV State Fleet vehicles that have been repaired.
Enter information into the TMA system for all state vehicles on campus and maintain daily logs.
Coordinate the collection and management of data related to projects, maintenance requirements, maintenance schedules, operating costs, etc. on vehicles and equipment.
Maintain electronic records, files and daily logs on all WVU TS vehicles, including assignments, leases, rentals, repairs and location.
Drive state vehicles as required.
Pay Grade: 13
Associates degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
At least one (1) year of the following:
Working with accounting practices
Business office experience
Transportation and parking experience
Ability to meet deadlines
Ability to maintain detailed and accurate records
Valid driver's license
Must obtain certification within 6 months of hire date in the following:
Physical requirements include the ability to:
Be exposed to exhaust fumes, dust, fluids, solvents and odors from garage area on occasion
Be in extreme outside weather conditions to record mileage from vehicles
Be around moving parts in garage area on some occasions
