The West Virginia University Center for Excellence in Disabilities is seeking applications for a Finance and Business Administrator. This position is a senior administrative, management, and supervisory position, and is responsible for independent judgment and discretion in carrying out daily responsibilities.
In order to be successful in this position, the ideal candidate will:
Be responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
Develop and disseminate programmatic expenditure reports.
Prepare the budget, ongoing management of the budget, and financial reporting and analysis.
Assist in preparation of grant budgets, prepares budget and budget narratives/justifications for multi-year grant proposals.
Perform complex financial calculations, such as financial ratios, statistical analyses, reconciling item trend analyses and forecasting.
Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or finance; MBA preferred
Three (3) years of the following:
Experience at the administrative level
Progressive administrative experience in financial operations, including experience in business management
Experience in a high volume/fast paced office working with grants and contracts financial management
Ability to interpret provisions of federal/state regulations on grants and contracts is required
Knowledge of accounting principles, strong computer skills, business practice standards and professional judgement skills
Knowledge of college and university accounting guidelines
Comprehensive knowledge of modern business and cash management practices
Experience with Oracle applications, grants management, and Excel, with a working knowledge of word processing, accounting, and data base application software and a proven ability to operate a personal computer
Licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred
