The West Virginia University Research Corporation is seeking applications for a Research Assistant. This position will involve collaboration with the Principal Investigators and Project Coordinator on the Take Action for Asthma Control Study for tasks related to data collection and management, study management, data analysis and reporting, and broader lab management tasks. This position pertains to a federally-funded project involving the pilot testing of Pictorial Asthma Action Plans to promote self-management among young people with asthma.
In order to be successful in this position, the ideal candidate will:
Work closely with a variety of constituents, including pediatric asthma patients and their families, a digital technology company, and an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Collect quantitative and qualitative data from pediatric asthma patients.
Prepare recruitment and data collection materials.
Work with project coordinator on efficient completion of study tasks and ongoing management.
Assist with IRB documentation and assure compliance with research protocols and HIPAA requirements.
Assist in data collection and relationship development with participants and families.
Oversee qualitative and quantitative data management, including record keeping and database maintenance.
Assist with data analysis, interpretation and report writing.
Bachelor’s degree in psychology, public health, pharmacy, or nursing
