Required Qualifications: (As Evidenced by an Attached Resume) Associate Degree and two (2) years of experience in a hospital/ medical/ dental office setting, working with a computerized patient/procedure scheduling system for medical and/or dental procedures OR four (4) years of relevant experience. Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Preferred Qualifications: CPTS/CD9-CM coding experience. Completion of coding certificate in an AHMA or AAPC approved program. Bi-lingual in Spanish/English. Brief Description of Duty: Coordinate ambulatory pre-surgical testing appointments for patients. Schedule all Operating Room Patirets for the Stony Book Dental Associate Providers Ensure patient have been medically cleared by physician. Obtain prior approval for patients with insurance companies. Ensure that all CPT and ICD-9 codes and modifiers are on the appropriate documentation for billing services. Ensure patient demographics and insurance information is correct and updated. Interact with dental providers to ensure that there are no discrepancies in coding related issues. Bill insurance in a timely fashion. Reconcile all the account receivable for the operating room cases. Special Notes: This is a full time appointment.
