The ICAVL Vascular Laboratory Technical Director is responsible for managing the day-to day business and clinical operations of the multi-site Vascular Laboratory, including ICAVL accreditation and Epic EMR. Labs provide inpatient and outpatient vascular laboratory services for the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania using the below testing modalities and equipment:
Cerebrovascular, Arterial, Venous and Visceral Testing utilizing Color Flow Duplex and physiological testing are performed.
Equipment: Philips, Siemens, and Parks.
Responsible for PACS/reporting system software Synapse (Prosolv) as Lead Client with ‘administrative’ privileges
In addition, responsible for the preparation and maintenance of the reaccreditation process of the Vascular Laboratory.
Maintain all aspects of the Vascular Laboratory Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement Program per ICAVL standards
Supervision of the Vascular Laboratory Technical Staff and Support Staff including recruitment, hiring and training of new employees
Financial Responsibilities include the preparation and maintenance of the annual budget, analysis and follow up on variances and accruals. Duties include the monitoring of technical and profession fee billing, charge entry and charge/revenue reconciliation.
Responsible for all aspects of department compliance with Human Resources, Safety and Regulatory Agency requirements.
Participate in research protocols led by referring Penn Medicine clinicians.

Minimum Degree Requirements and Experience Required:
Incumbent must have 5 years’ experience in all aspects and modes of vascular laboratory testing, including arterial, venous, cerebrovascular and visceral plus recent supervisory experience. Bachelor’s Degree required. Supervisory Master’s degree is preferred
Skill Requirements: Expert skills in the performance of all forms of vascular testing and the ability to instruct others in all aspects of vascular testing. Management and supervisory skills required to operate the Vascular Laboratory
