West Virginia University Institute of Technology (WVU Tech), part of the WVU system of campuses located in Beckley, West Virginia, is currently inviting applications and nominations for a Certification Analyst. This position will be housed in the Department of Career-Technical Education at the College of Business, Humanities and Social Sciences. In conjunction with the West Virginia Department of Education, the Department offers alternative certification for those seeking positions in career-technical education programs throughout the State of West Virginia.
In order to be successful in this position, the ideal candidate will:
Manage the day-to-day operations of an office with three full-time faculty and a department chair.
Oversee all budgetary matters of multiple departmental accounts.
Provide assistance in organizing and managing regional workshops which will require travel to various locations throughout the state.
Analyze and verify teacher applications for certification and advanced salary classifications.
Collect data for department personnel and various reports.
Maintain all departmental files.
Perform various administrative duties.

Bachelor's degree in education, administration or a related field; an equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered
