Identify college access initiatives across the University community whose goal is to produce greater levels of access to higher education for underrepresented, first generation students. Define and recommend opportunities for greater collaboration and relationship building across the University with focus on K-12 programs, including cultivating relationships across and outside the University, managing targeted communications, and managing the tracking of program outcomes and recommending related continuous improvement opportunities. Serve as an NYU organizational ‘champion’ for NYU College Access programs and initiatives to foster a culture of collaboration and effective outcomes.
Required Education: Bachelor’s degree
Preferred Education: Master’s degree in higher education administration or other related field
Required Experience: 5+ years of experience working with college access or student success programs and initiatives, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must include grants management and budget management experience and experience analyzing data to inform decision-making.
Preferred Experience: Experience in a large, decentralized university setting.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of various learning styles, cultural identities and differences. Excellent project management and organizational skills, including the demonstrated ability to manage projects concurrently in a deadline-driven environment. Excellent critical thinking skills, including the ability to use quantitative and qualitative data to reach conclusions and inform recommendations. Demonstrated ability to align priorities with an organizational mission. Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders across various organizations.
