Information Technology Services is seeking a Training Team Lead – Professional Technologist 3. The Training Team Lead will serve as the primary Training contact with ITS managers, as well as other WVU faculty, staff and students seeking assistance with documentation, on-demand resources and/or in-person training. This includes, but is not limited to, participating at developmental meetings conducted by Business Relationship Managers, Project Managers and others for training needs assessment.
In order to be successful in this position, the ideal candidate will:
Plan, create, and make available innovative and easy to understand training on job-specific, University-specific, and third-party partner software applications and systems in an environment that effectively engages participants.
Deliver training using various methodologies including in-person workshops, synchronous and asynchronous online tools such as WVU's learning management system, user documentation, guides and videos.
Collect information pertaining to work procedures, work flow, and job-specific functions and tasks when creating training materials.
Collaborate with team members and other ITS units, including Communications, eCampus, TeamDynamix administrators and others to maintain the Training portfolio of course content.
Ensure the quality, consistency, accuracy, currency and security of trainer's notes, materials, lesson plans and supportive media.
Maintain knowledge of ITS-supported systems.
Pursue enhancement of technical instructional delivery and presentation skills, and keep abreast of new tools and technology that could be used, whether through professional organizations, online forums, conferences or other knowledge-sharing mechanisms.
Help identify new opportunities for Training to support, empower and advance the success of faculty, staff and students. Conduct periodic surveys or otherwise seek feedback to ensure Training team offerings match University needs.
Track and manage workloads and assignments of Training team members. Assign and monitor progress to ensure training materials are delivered on deadline. Provide brief, weekly operational report to senior management.
Complete other technical duties as assigned.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience is required
A degree in technology, computer science, education, communications or related field is preferred; master's degree and/or technical certifications are also preferred
Four (4) years of technical training experience is required
