Staff Pharmacist - Full Time Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital Baltimore, MD
Hours: The pharmacy is open Monday-Friday 7am-7pm; Weekends 8am-4:30pm.
This position will work 7am to 3:30 pm, 9 am to 5:30 pm, or 10:30 am to 7pm and every 3rd weekend. This position will also rotate on-call with 4 other pharmacists after hours.
As Staff Pharmacist you will evaluate and interpret orders; compounds; and dispenses medications according to written orders/prescriptions issued by an authorized prescriber. The staff pharmacist will also identify, prevent, assess, and resolve medication-related problems to ensure a safe and optimal patient outcome. Promote, through criteria based protocols, clinically rational drug therapy and sound pharmaceutical care. You will assist in supervising the pharmacy technicians in their daily routines.
Facility: Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital is a 102-bed non-profit children's hospital that treats more than 8,000 patients each year on an inpatient, outpatient and day treatment basis set in the scenic neighborhood of Mt. Washington in Baltimore that provides long-term care for children with complex health problems. MWPH is jointly owned by Johns Hopkins Medical System and University of Maryland Medical System. Funded by patient revenue and private charitable donations, Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital is a comprehensive sub-acute care facility for children from birth to young adult; MWPH provides transitional and support care for a variety of conditions, including premature birth, serious and chronic illness, traumatic injury, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, childhood obesity, diabetes, feeding problems, among others. Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital also has a unit at Prince George's Hospital Center in Cheverly, Maryland. MWPH accreditations include Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities and The Joint Commission. Management of the pharmacy is outsourced to CPS.

Required Qualifications: - Pharmacy Degree (Bachelors or PharmD) - Maryland Pharmacist license in good standing - 1+ years recent hospital pharmacy experience preferred - Meditech Magic Workstation experience desired but willing to train - Effective verbal and written communication skills
