Information Technology Services is seeking a Business Analyst (Professional Technologist 2). This position will effectively utilize technical/application analysis skills to research, design, develop, and test to successfully complete tasks in support of ITS projects.
In order to be successful in this position, the ideal candidate will:
Follow established methodology to complete project deliverables on all assigned tasks within established deadlines.
Utilize analytical skills to identify and solve problem situations. Continually evaluate research, develop, and maintain solutions using evolving methodologies to keep pace with new technologies.
Work effectively with technical and functional staff to accomplish project deliverables by sharing knowledge and ideas.
Prepare technical documentation, including interpretation of business requirements, business process flows, and code according to established standards.
Communicate information clearly, accurately and timely to team members. Put forth the efforts necessary to complete project successfully.
Establish positive, professional relationship with functional users and staff. Establish proper communication channels with project and team personnel and respond appropriately to all concerns.
Understand and adhere to established project management policies and procedures, including meeting project work plans, status reports, and documentation.
Communicate clearly and concisely in written and oral formats. Foster an environment of teamwork and professionalism.
ITS has about 210 employees with diverse backgrounds, personalities and experience. We make sure the networks, data centers, Internet and phones are robust and reliable. We support dozens of applications that are critical to the University's administrative functions and academic mission, including the online learning system, eCampus. We protect the confidentiality and integrity of data. We talk to our customers regularly about our services and initiatives, and we welcome and respond to suggestions.

Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience required; degree in business/IT/finance or related degree is preferred
Two (2) years of IT experience, including application testing experience, is required
Experience testing with higher education software is preferred
