The College of Education and Human Services at West Virginia University invites applications for the position of Program Coordinator. This position provides leadership and strategic oversight of assessment and accreditation reporting for the college.
In order to be successful in this position, the ideal candidate will:
Provide leadership for the Office of Accreditation and Records, including the coordination of projects, correspondence with team members and external audiences, data gathering, data analysis, and report production.
Create and implement an integrated strategic approach to compiling information from a broad range of activities in order to meet the requirements of the teacher education accreditation self-study, site visit projects, and for ongoing assessment and reporting.
Oversee and coordinate with each department in CEHS and each teacher preparation program at WVU - including administrators, faculty, and staff - so that information, materials, and procedures are communicated to all stakeholders.
Collaborate and assist others in the Office of Accreditation and Records and the Office of Student Services to develop a systematic approach for compiling data and to ensure that accurate reporting is maintained for the WV State Department, accrediting agencies, and other reporting agencies.
Determine which data sources and reports provide essential information related to resource allocations and strategic planning for college academic programs.
Contribute to the development of data reports with relevant information for CEHS programs, including aggregate and synthesize all assessment data for the College and for multiple audiences.
Manage the Education Preparation Program assessment and accreditation reports for CAEP and other audiences.
Provide leadership and support to department chairs, program coordinators, SPA leaders, and others as needed to gather and manage annual data and reporting.
Apply knowledge and skills to complete annual reports and reviews for the College and its departments, including accreditation reviews, SPA, Board of Governors, CAEP Annual Report, and others.
Serve as the project lead for reporting to the WV Department of Education, including providing research for the required report elements, collecting data, writing for the report, and editing the final information.
Manage the following reporting elements and projects: WV Department of Education IHE Annual report, Title II Reporting, WVU documentation, etc.
Assist with the PECC and CAEP Subcommittee Meetings, including gathering essential information for the meetings, keeping all members up-to-date with decisions from meetings, and organizing and scheduling meetings.
Apply knowledge of teacher education program requirements to format and update curriculum summary sheets.
Maintain schedule and set up meetings for the assistant dean, formatting agendas and meeting notes as necessary.
Review/edit materials created for proper formatting, making necessary changes and printing final hard copies for supervisor review and signature.
Master's degree required
At least two (2) years' experience in the following:
Technical report writing
Working with variety of professionals on common projects
Ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing
Ability to work effectively under pressure when deadlines necessitate immediate action
Ability to listen carefully and work with individuals who need assistance with any or all aspects of their assessment and accreditation reports
