The West Virginia University Research Corporation is seeking applications for a Pilot Grant Coordinator. This position will assist in the organization and coordination of West Virginia Clinical Translational Science Institute (WVCTSI) Pilot Projects Program, including developing internal funding materials, assisting in education training and development activities, coordinating review of pilot project submissions, organizing pilot project-related events. Responsible to track pilot projects progress and aid in external grant submission. This position will be trained to provide pre-award support for WVCTSI researchers seeking external funding.
In order to be successful in this position, the ideal candidate will:
Develops and oversees WVCTSI Pilot Project funding opportunities, implementation of project schedules, and reports.
Assists implementing project goals and strategies.
Assists with short and long term planning and design of project direction and objectives.
Provides assistance to management with functions such as planning, organizing coordinating, scheduling and implementing project activities to meet objectives.
Responsible for internal grant coordination.
Assists in assigning reviewers.
Reviews applications for NIH standards and then educates participants on how to perform federal reviews.
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or health related field
2 years of experience in program coordination
An equivalent combination of education and experience
