Under General Supervision: The Budget Systems Analyst reports to the Director of Budget Services and supports the Office of Budget and Planning (OBP) and assigned business unit(s) with financial reporting and analysis needs. The Budget Systems Analyst serves as a primary contact to assigned business unit(s) on budget development and management, and develops budget and forecast packages for unit and OBP leadership review. The Budget Systems Analyst leads team data analytic and reporting efforts across various platforms, with a particular eye toward sponsored program analytics and projections utilizing Tufts University's Axiom Grants Module. The position is responsible for the design, implementation and support of the Axiom Grants Module and leads the business process analysis for potential integration projects with other university systems. The position reports directly to the Director of Budget Services, but is expected to work in partnership with project team members including system end-users and other university offices, including the Office of the Vice Provost (OVPR) and Tufts Technology Services (TTS).
3-5 years of related experience in system implementation, research administration, or data analysis and report development.
Understanding of the software implementation lifecycle and experience with methodologies for managing complex implementation projects.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with direct experience managing communications with a diverse group of stakeholders.
Ability to manage time effectively and work under concurrent deadlines.
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.

Special Work Schedule Requirements: Occasional evening or weekend work, as well as the ability to participate in a 24x7 on call rotation for major incident support activities.
