Regions is a regional bank that operates throughout the South, Midwest and Texas and is headquartered in Birmingham, Ala. Regions is a member of the S&P 500 Index and is one of the nation's largest full-service providers of consumer and commercial banking, wealth management, mortgage, and insurance products and services.
Although we serve in 15 states and offer the products and services of a le...ading national financial institution, we strive to serve our customers with the personal touch of a home town bank. Our unique character is a reflection of strong roots that reach back more than a century. In 1970, three Alabama-based banks became original affiliates of First Alabama Bancshares, Inc., the first multi-bank holding company in the state of Alabama. Those three banks were the First National Bank of Huntsville, chartered in 1856, the First National Bank of Montgomery, opened in 1871, and the Exchange Security Bank of Birmingham.
