The Tisch Center for Hospitality and Tourism is seeking an individual to determine programs’ academic format and plan, develop, implement and administer new programs. Hire and supervise new adjunct faculty; evaluate new and continuing faculty. Direct administration of programs and assist with marketing, recruitment and retention of students. Administer adjunct faculty budget and control expenses. Advise students and supervise staff. Develop, plan and implement new initiatives and projects that support the Tisch Center. Participate in strategic planning initiatives.
Required Education: Bachelor's degree
Preferred Education: Advanced degree in a related field.
Required Experience: 5 years' related experience or equivalent combination. Must include experience administering and marketing programs and events, writing, supervising staff, and budget preparation and management.
Preferred Experience: Experience in higher education.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Ability to research, plan, create, and implement new and existing programs and events. Ability to market programs to target groups, recruit, advise, and retain faculty and students. Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing, make strategic decisions, evaluate programs and instructional staff. Ability to provide customer service and manage relationships with diverse populations.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Ability to manage multiple projects and systems with great attention to detail. Ability to communicate ideas and strategies for program growth and sustainability. Ability to work well with multiple personalities and liaise with multiple departments and personnel. Familiarity with emerging technologies including distance learning and digital platforms.
