Brand new pharmacy to open late 2017 or early 2018!!
As a full time Staffing Director of Pharmacy with Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) at North Clark Community Hospital, you are the Pharmacist In Charge and Director all in one. Duties including set up of a brand new pharmacy including licensing, regulatory accreditation, inventory, pharmacy organization and workflow, formulary management, and operating the pharmacy according to hospital policies,standards of practice of the profession, and state and federal laws. You will recommend innovations in the practice and function of the pharmacy to hospital administration and carry out mutually agreed upon programs. In addition, you will be staffing and overseeing all pharmacy operations, including planning, organizing and controlling activities. You will fill orders with accuracy; maintain security of pharmacy and controlled substances; enter orders and patient information with accuracy. In this role, you will start as the sole employee in the pharmacy and as census gradually increases, will expand the staff to include a Pharmacy Technician and additional Pharmacist.. You will also be on call via telephone when the pharmacy is closed.
As a CPS-employed Director of Pharmacy, you'll have a full support team available to you including experts in operations, clinical, and regulatory.
About the Facility: North Clark Community Hospital is a for profit facility that will be licensed for a total of 60 beds, consisting of 30 inpatient general medical/surgical acute care beds and 30 inpatient geropsychiatric beds. There will also be a 5 bed Emergency Room. To start, he pharmacy will be open for 12 hours providing services Monday-Friday 7am-7pm or 8am-8pm and will eventually expand to providing service on Saturdays once the census increases. Pharmacy automation and systems are yet to be selected.

Qualifications: • Pharmacy Degree - Bachelors or Pharm D from an accredited school of pharmacy • Indiana Pharmacist licensure that is currently active and in good standing • At least 3 years recent acute care inpatient hospital leadership/management experience • Ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns • Ability to work cooperatively with other members of hospital and pharmacy staff
