Manage classroom scheduling and all day-to-day operations of the MAGNET space: advise in development and implementation of operational policies and practices to ensure classroom and event activities run smoothly and successfully and that the safety and security of faculty, staff, students, facilities, and equipment is realized. Design, plan and conduct technical workshops and seminars on classroom use in response to and adapted to meet faculty and student needs; ensure training is consistent with established industry and MAGNET curricular standards and related technologies. Train, schedule and supervise students to serve as a team to support all classroom, administrative and event activities in the MAGNET space. Serve as a resource and technical expert by researching relevant technologies, and assist in coordinating purchases and maintenance of equipment for curricular equipment in classrooms and common spaces
Required Education: Bachelor's degree
Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree in media technology
Required Experience: 2 years media classroom facility operations, staff supervision and budget administration experience including media operations, scheduling, and assessing space and related needs or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Experience: Experience in academic and/or media environment. Experience in classroom scheduling
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication, and project management skills. Ability to communicate policies and procedures to individuals at all levels and use problem-solving and negotiating skills to effectively achieve solutions. Proficiency with a wide range of current projection, media and computer technologies. Ability to direct, evaluate and implement a variety of operations and activities
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Knowledge of current and emerging media technologies (e.g. projection, flat screens, conference and presentation software)
