Arts and Science is seeking a talented Special Projects Administrator to join the Department of Hebrew and Judaic Studies. This individual will consult with the Department Administrator and faculty to plan and implement special events that meet strategic goals of the department. Consult with Department Administrator on management of large-scale events; research vendors, options, pricing structures, etc. Track expenses, conduct post-event evaluations, and recommend future improvements to the Department Administrator. Coordinate logistics related to project meetings, track spending, and report to donor on monies spent related to the Soviet Jewry Project. Collaborate with principal investigator and other key stakeholders related to the Soviet Jewry project to develop plans, timelines, staffing and space needs related to the project.
Required Education: Bachelor’s degree and
Required Experience: 2 years’ experience planning and implementing special events or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Experience: Experience with social media and website content management.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Strong customer service skills, highly creative with the ability to develop new ideas for various constituents, excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of standard office software. Ability to work respectfully with individuals of different perspectives, abilities, cultures and backgrounds.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Graphic design skills.
