The Department of Public Safety is seeking a Compliance Analyst to assist and support the Department’s Professional Standards Unit with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act) Compliance oversight, policy and protocol development and CALEA Campus Security Accreditation.
Required Education: Bachelor’s degree
Preferred Education: N/A
Required Experience: At least 2 to 4 years’ experience relating to legal, state and federal regulatory compliance in a higher education setting, or, equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education.
Preferred Experience: Working knowledge of the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (the Clery Act) and CALEA Campus Security Accreditation.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Strong writing ability, logical and analytical thinking, information and data gathering, analysis and synthesis skills, excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills and ability to operate standard office equipment. Computer Proficiency -- (1) Adobe Acrobat: create and edit PDFs, create forms, redaction. (2) Create and manipulate Microsoft Office documents. (3) Experience with Google Applications (Gmail - in particular searches, labels, filters, automatic forwarding, Calendar, Drive, Sites). (4) Ability to use browser-based software services and databases.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Functional knowledge of advanced Excel functions such as writing, combining, and debugging formulas; conditional formatting; data validation; and VBA. Experience working with PowerDMS’ Policy Management Software.
