Develop and deliver departmental career development programming and services. Identify key professionals in the performing arts field, initiate, and cultivate ongoing relationships. Manage internship program. Assess professional training studio curriculum and extracurricular activities to ensure quality and availability of career development programming and assistance for the full variety of students’ interests. Collaborate with Associate Director of Special Projects and Tisch Office of External Affairs to create and execute a strategy for developing mutually beneficial relationships with department’s alumni. Manage industry showcase process. Develop and produce extracurricular career development workshops and programs.
Required Education: Bachelor's degree
Preferred Education: Master's degree in career counseling or related field; degree in theatre or performing arts
4 or more year’s relevant experience in career assessment and individualized career planning. Experience must include implementing programs, seminars, events, and preparing training materials.
Preferred Experience: Prior experience in an academic environment. Prior experience in performing arts production or administration
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Ability to network, plan and implement career development initiatives. Ability to collaborate, mediate and negotiate with diverse audience. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of standard office software including PowerPoint and online and traditional information databases (e.g., LexisNexus).
