The Joint Commission is currently seeking an Associate Director, Standards Interpretation Ambulatory to join their team in the Oakbrook Terrace, IL area.
Consider joining the talented staff at The Joint Commission as the Associate Director, Standards Interpretation Ambulatory in the Department of Standards Interpretation. The purpose of this position combines systems analysis skills with in-depth general and program-specific knowledge of Joint Commission and Medicare requirements, professional standards of practice and federal and state law and regulation to evaluate health care organizations’ compliance and ability to provide high quality, safe patient care. Through the conduct of surveys, the analysis of organization specific data and other types of information and the provision of education, interpretation, mentoring and coaching, works closely with accredited/certified organizations to identify vulnerabilities and improve their performance. Achieves and maintains surveyor certification in a minimum of one accreditation program.
RN with master’s degree or actively working on a graduate degree, ambulatory experience preferred, with three to five years of progressive, leadership or supervisory experience. Achieve and maintain surveyor certification and competence in a minimum of one accreditation program. Demonstrated analytical, inductive and deductive reasoning skills. Demonstrated excellent customer relationship management skills. Demonstrated positive peer and leadership relationships. Interpersonal skills to interact effectively with individuals at various levels both inside and outside of the organization. Strong writing and speaking skills. Demonstrated ability to function well in a fast-paced, highly visible and challenging environment. Demonstrated ability to problem solve and manage multiple priorities meeting and/or exceeding customer expectations with regards to turn around time and quality of the response/interaction. This position includes traveling up to 20% of the time including conducting surveys a minimum of four times per year. This position is located in Oakbrook Terrace, IL.
