The Health Sciences Center Information Technology Department of Application & Web Services is seeking applications for an Application Administrator (Professional Technologist III). This position is responsible for administration of SOLE Learning Management Systems, HSC's mission critical Learning Management Systems and affiliates in both academic, administrative, and WVU Healthcare areas.
In order to be successful in this position, the ideal candidate will:
Provide faculty, staff and students with technical and instructional expertise in managing educational materials online.
Instruct faculty and staff on how to use technology more effectively.
Support and resolve complex user issues with Learning Management Systems, Content Management Systems, lecture recording technology and support applications.
Develop and maintain public websites for the Health Sciences Center.
Assumes management responsibilities in absence of unit Director and serves as a lead in the support unit.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, instructional technology, management, or related field, OR and equivalent combination of education and experience
Four (4) years experience in:
Working with technology-based content deployment
Using and supporting web-based course management or web design tools
Providing technical assistance to end users
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact at all organizational levels.
Extensive knowledge and demonstrated ability in:
Learning Management Systems administration
Content Management Systems administration
Application and usability testing
HTML, CSS, and web development tools
Browser technology and compatibility
Excellent project and time management skills demonstrating the ability to function independently on one or more individual projects while collaborating on team projects
